Random Acts of Kindness Day

It’s Random Acts of Kindness Day

At the best of times, we all deal with the stressors of life. We have endured two years of immense pain and stress during the COVID pandemic. Our stressors have gone through the roof! In coping with COVID and trying to get through every day the best we can, it seems that we may have forgotten to be kind not only to ourselves, but also to one another.

Robin Williams said it best when he said, “Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.”

Be Kind. Always.

At ExquisiCare, our core values are Love, Reverence, and Family

Love: We treat our elders with the same love and attention that we would a family member.
Reverence: We show the deepest respect to the elders for whom we provide care.
Family: Our residents and resident family members truly become like family to us.

And at the core of those values is kindness. It is a pillar in everything we do at ExquisiCare.

February 17, 2022 is Random Acts of Kindness Day. And on this day, we will be sure to take some time to focus on being kind to one another. We hope that those who share in our vision will share kindness along with us.

Here are a few ways you can simply spread some Kindness:

  • Pay it Forward – Buy someone a coffee! Maybe it’s the stranger behind you in the Starbucks or Tim’s drive through!
  • Make a call – Call a friend or family member just to let them know you are thinking of them
  • Lend a Hand – Help someone you see struggling; can be as simple as reaching something from a high shelf
  • Take a Moment – Be a listening ear when someone just needs to share their thoughts
  • Give – Donate those unused items in your home to an organization who helps others

Of course, we also know that the last few years have been exceptionally difficult for those working in Senior Care, and Feb 17th is a special day where we can reach out to caregivers, to show them that we care.
